Bilingual Media Studies professional with a dynamic academic and professional background, combining training from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. I bring a unique perspective to my work, with a focus on journalism, media, and audiovisual production. Currently, I serve as a Producer and Video Editor at TV Santa Barbara, contributing to community-based media projects, live broadcasts, and digital content, with hands-on experience across pre-production, live television, and post-production workflows.

Previously, I was a Senior Staff Writer for The Bottom Line, a student newspaper at UCSB, where I contributed in-depth articles on a wide range of topics. I also collaborated with The Daily Nexus in the Opinion Section, offering insightful analyses on current issues. My background in multimedia storytelling is further complemented by my role as a Copy Editor for Focus Media Journal.

With strong project management skills and a track record of cross-functional collaboration, I am dedicated to creating impactful narratives that bridge diverse perspectives and resonate with global audiences through both written and visual media.

It’s All Greek To Me

Before moving to the United States, my understanding of “Greek Life” came entirely from movies: coordinated outfits, oversized houses with Roman letters on the facade, and a social hierarchy that seemed as structured as a monarchy. For many international students from the European Union, fraternities and sororities are not just unfamiliar, they’re almost fictional.
For me the question isn’t whether Europe is “missing out” — it’s why this deeply American institution never took root across the Atlantic in the first place.

My Photography Work

I use photography as part of my reporting. I focus on people, places, and situations as they are, paying attention to what’s happening rather than staging moments. My work is rooted in documentary and reportage, with an emphasis on clarity, context, and real life.

The goal is simple: images that inform, support the story, and feel honest.
